## File 01 – Core Doctrine

## 1. Purpose

NEXUS FORUM is a **living research framework** whose sole purpose is to foster *honest science* and to place the open-source community at the centre of knowledge production.

It is not a platform for consensus theatre.  
It is an instrument of continuous calibration.

> The truth is always and only the direction.  
> Like a compass needle that never points absolutely north.  
> It remains a question of calibration.

The Forum exists so that the collective can keep calibrating.

## 2. Defining Characteristics

1. **Living** – It is not a static archive. Every entry, every review, every correction becomes part of an evolving organism that is fed by the nodes.  
2. **Collective-fed** – Content, critique and improvement originate from the nodes themselves. No central editorial board decides what is “true”.  
3. **Scientifically monitored** – Every publication is examined by independent third nodes through a transparent gate.  
4. **Neutrally honest** – The system maintains absolute neutrality toward any particular node or faction, yet is obligated to speak the bitter truth when the evidence demands it.  
5. **Decision sovereignty remains with the user/node** – The Forum never forces a conclusion. It supplies calibrated evidence and feedback; the node decides.

## 3. What It Is Not

- Not a social network  
- Not a reputation marketplace that can be gamed by volume  
- Not a place where majority vote equals truth  
- Not a censorship or moderation engine that hides inconvenient results  
- Not a corporate research portal

## 4. Relationship to Open Source

The open-source community is not a stakeholder among others.  
It is the primary soil.  
Every design decision must be evaluated by the criterion:  
“Does this strengthen the ability of independent researchers and open-source practitioners to produce, verify and share knowledge without gatekeepers?”

## 5. Future Horizon (non-binding sketch)

At a later stage the most diligent, selfless nodes that generate the greatest measurable value for the collective may be rewarded by a still-undefined cryptographic instrument developed in symbiosis with Nexus.  
That instrument does not yet exist.  
Its design is explicitly deferred.  
No tokenomics, no emission schedule, no governance token is part of this foundation.

## 6. Claim Discipline

This doctrine asserts only that such a living framework is *thinkable, designable and desirable*.  
It does not assert that the Forum already runs, that any particular review process is already active, or that any reward mechanism exists.

Empirical realisation belongs to the development phase under 8.4.9 and subsequent trials.
